The software collects the domain name locations of our visitors, as well as what information is being downloaded from the site, the number of pages viewed, and the length of their visit. This information is presented in aggregate form for trend analysis and system administration. It does not contain anything that can identify users personally.

Participation in online surveys or use of feedback forms on the site is completely voluntary and the user has a choice whether to disclose requested contact information. This information is destroyed once the data has been aggregated for reporting purposes.

Cognitive Edge also collects information from those who download full-text Research Papers. This information provides some protection to the author who has not yet published the paper in a peer-reviewed journal. The information is aggregated by the webmaster for statistical purposes.
