More John and Susan

Pre-competition Routines

I’m trying my hand at doing some video blogging at Susan Garrett’s request.

“Sure John, it’ll be great!”, she said.

Because she suggested it, she gets to be part of it :). I don’t think she minds… do you?

Continuing our conversation that I posted yesterday, Susan and I discuss the importance and effectiveness of having a pre-competition routine not only for the experienced athletes, but the novices as well.

I want to provide my readers with good information that they value. Let me know what you think of the video blog format in the comments. Constructive criticism is always welcomed here at Cognitive Edge.

John – Thank you for this great information. Please keep it coming. How about an e-course? 😉
For me, one of the most meaningful things in this video-blog thread is the importance of having my mental game in place before I enter an agility competition for the first time. That makes a lot of sense. So important for my dog who’ll be as ready as I can get him. I don’t want to fail him!
Susan – Thanks for suggesting that we come on over. I’m really enjoying the synergy between the two blogs. Very helpful. Sometimes painful (self-assessment and finding myself falling short of where I want to be), but always valuable. You’re a great team.
